Recording Europe

The Audiobook

  • News from Recording Europe

    Hello everyone,

We just wanted to let you know that many sessions have come out in the past few weeks, and we would love for you to see them and let us know what you think! We couldn't have done it as well without you :)

If you like Bob Dylan, Eddie Vedder and the like, don't look any further. We found the faroese equivalent (albeit younger than these legends) in Klaksvik and he performed 3 of his beautiful songs for us.

With Rebekka we're taking you to a beautiful church in Fuglafjørður (which means "the fjord of birds") to hear her song "Stundin", which is about living in a moment that is constantly fading away. Take a breath, and dive in her aetheral and marvelous universe.

Have you ever heard of an instrument called the omnichord? It's an old japanese sort of harp synth, complete with drum machine. Guðrid played her song "Animal" for us on that instrument, in the coolest location: the Tórshavn aquarium. 'Nuff said, am I right?

Although the press is constantly linking Elinborg's work with her world famous sister Eivør's, we guarantee you that it is nothing like it save for the quality and goosebumps. Check this out!

You heard that name before right? On a day when we already had 2 bands to record and only got about 3 hours to sleep, we couldn't resist recording Ragnar's song "Red Wine" and make it a triple session day. The exhaustion of that day made this performance very powerful and sincere.

That's it for now, hope you're all having a great week end. And do let us know what you think of it all!

  • The first Faroese session is out!

    Hello everybody,

Sorry for the lack of news since we came back from the Faroe Islands. It was an incredible experience, and we want to thank you all again for helping us make it happen.

    Some big news:
Today is the release day for the first session of our Faroese adventures!
Meet the lady and guys behind Dóttir.

We stopped by their rehearsal space in Copenhagen a few weeks ago and filmed two of their songs, and here is the first one, called "Await". It was actually the only session we did in a rehearsal space this time around, and we dare say that the result turned out pretty great.
After the session we had night long conversations with Súsanna that we can't wait to share with you through our book - even though that is still quite some time down the road.

In the mean time, treat yourselves to this great band and beautiful song.

    Kevin & Ragnar

  • We made it to 100% !

Thanks to your collective support, we've incredibly happy to announce that today we've reached our goal! Sincerely, many many thanks.

Now the real work will soon begin for us, we'll keep you posted here and on social media.

    Kevin & Ragnar

PS: There are still 10 days left for more people to join the adventure, so keep on spreading the word!
