Garden of Joy, Belgium

Artisan local products @permaculture project

  • Invitation Open Day Garden of Joy 30/9

    Hello,

On Sunday 30th of September we are having a modest Open Day for Garden of Joy.

We invite in the first place all those who contributed to our crowd funding campaign, and furthermore everybody that is interested in our project. You’re family and friends are also welcome J

On the same day there will be a local 'streekproducten wandeling', a walk that takes people along places in the region where artisan products are being made - could be foods, drinks, art, crafts etc. Garden of Joy has been asked and agreed to participate, so we'll have around 125 walkers that will pass in small groups to get to know our project and taste the products we make.

    Tentative program of the day:

10.30am: welcome visitors with a cup of tea or refreshments

11am: guided tour in the garden

12am: guided tour in the garden

1pm – 5pm: possibility to taste our products - sit, chat and enjoy with a dash of live folk music, performed by all-round musician Kenny Clarys.

From 1.30pm onwards 150 walkers will come and go in small groups spread over the afternoon till around 5pm.

All visitors are welcome to pop-in at any time. You can join a guided tour in the garden at 11 or at 12am. Please bring some picnic with you, if you wish to stay for the day :-)

With this open day we aim to meet and thank our funders and supporters, get our project known in the area, offer free tasting of what we produce, and offer a chance to purchase artisan products on the spot.

If you plan to attend this day, please let us know how many you will come by simply replying to this email (name + number of people), in order to facilitate general organization of the day. Spontaneous and last-minute deciders are also welcome of course J

Hoping to see many of you!

  • We reached our target amount... thanks to you!

A big thank you to everyone who contributed and helped us to reach our target amount!

Today we crossed the cape of €7000... much more than we ever dared hoping for!

Only 24 hours left and our campaign will be closed.

Thanks to your support, we can start a new chapter for our Garden of Joy project and help build a more local economy with small-scale, artisan production.

We will contact you soon concerning the reward(s) you possibly chose in return for your contribution.

We would also like to point out or remind you that for every 25€ donated, you automatically participate in the raffle of an authentic and unique piece of art by Etienne Loyson - read the message on our crowdfunding page for picture and more info (see tab 'News' in header). You do not have to do anything for this - only let us know if you do not want to participate, then your name will not be added to the draw.

    To be continued soon...

    with gratitude and respect,

    Garden of Joy Team

  • Raffle Art work Etienne Loyson

    Hello,

We have an extra bonus for those who are interested: Etienne Loyson, interior archtiect and artist, donated one of his art works to raffle under the funders.

    How does it work?

For every contribution of 25€ or a multiple (50€=2 lots, 75€=3 lots etc.) you automatically receive 1 or more lots, giving you a chance to win a very special and unique piece of art.

After closing down the campaign, around half of July, an innocent hand will pick a name and define the lucky winner. We'll inform you personally if you won.

more info about the works of Etienne Loyson: http://art-and-spirituality.be/year-2002 - 'Monumental Art'
