LILA'S ESSENTIALS

Furoma : 1st multi-functional accessory of the 24 hours of the baby's life

About the project

New target: 150% - € 4500

Achieving this goal would allow us to fully fund the participation in a trade fair (excluding decoration) and good news, our application to Maison & Objet has been validated and we just need to finalize our request to participate!

If we reach this first level, we will send you the customized illustration of Lila's mom or dad that you can print to decorate your baby's room and we will organize a Furoma knotting workshop to show you how to tye a Fursohiki bag!

Fact: We are pushed to purchase and overconsume. By accumulating objects; we no longer enjoy what we possess.

Vision: Our vision is to offer a full range of everyday essentials for parents and baby: the products that are enough and nothing else!

Inspiration: Inspired by the Japanese Furoshiki, Furoma was born. We chose to create a unique product for multipurpose use.

Our solution: The Furoma.

The Furoma is the first sustainable and multi-functional accessory that accompanies a parent throughout his day, 24/7.

Raw Materials:
The GOTS certified organic cotton is spun, woven and dyed vegetally in India.
The organic cotton sewing threads originating from Egypt and spun in the Netherlands are also GOTS certified.
The labels are in recycled cotton.

Production:
The very big 120 x 120 cm Furoma is produced in a workshop in northern France.

Values:
In true multi-purpose product, it aims to fight against overconsumption and promote minimalism.

Embroidery:
A beautiful dragonfly is embroidered onto the Furoma. It represents luck and is a symbol of Lila’s Essentials.

About the project owner

Hello! I am Maria, 27.

Born in Lebanon from a French mother and Italian father, I grew up with this multiculturality:

My mom drew and created for a long time babies and kids rooms and my two parents introduced me very young to the world of decoration and accessories.

Everything really starts in 2015 during a tour of several weeks in Japan which has generated a true passion for this country and its culture.

It was from there that I became interested in minimalism, natural materials and adopt a responsible consumption.

It was by combining all my passions and convictions that I came up with the creation of Lila’s Essentials with the idea of creating  a minimalist birth layette that contains the essentials a parent and his/her baby need in their daily lives.
