eCREAdys, a school for language&learning disorders

Make the eCREAdys school (Sarreguemines,France) accessible to more children with language, learning and attention deficit disorders.

About the project

 

Since September 2018, the eCREAdys school has been hosting a class of 6 elementary schoolchildren with language and learning disorders (dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, dysphasia,...) and/or attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity and/or intellectual precocity.

The eCREAdys school allows the child to reconcile with the learning requirements that put him/her in difficulty in the ordinary environment.

It helps to rebuild its self-esteem: the child regains confidence in himself and his abilities.

The school is private, non-contractual and does not receive any public subsidies. Its financing is based on donations, the rest being financed by the parents' school fees.

What are the funds for?

The eCREAdys school has, in order to make the school accessible to a larger number of children, decided to reduce the school fees for the school year 2019-2020 to 4680€ (previously: 6600€ per year).

Despite this, an eCREAdys school education remains inaccessible for many children currently suffering in the regular system.

The objective of the funding is to:

  • ensure the sustainability of the school by balancing the budget for the school year 2019-2020.
  • Once the budget is balanced, lower tuition fees as much as possible for children whose parents currently cannot afford the annual tuition fees of €4680 per child.

For a class of 12 schoolchildren and once the budget is balanced, funding of:

  • 6000€ would reduce the annual tuition fees per child by additional 500€.
  • 12000€ would reduce the annual tuition fees per child by additional 1000€.
  • 30,000€ would reduce the annual tuition fees per child by additional 2500€ or makes it possible to hire a school life assistant for one year.

About the project owner

The eCREAdys association is made up of professionals from various backgrounds: neuropsychologist, speechtherapists pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, primary and secondary school teachers, parents of dyslexic children and students with dyslexia).

It was founded on August 30, 2017 with the aim of providing answers to the suffering of schoolchildren with language and learning disabilities by providing solutions that are not implemented in the ordinary school and will allow them to make sustainable progress in their schooling.

Its initial objective was to open the first class of the eCREAdys school and is now to keep it alive, perpetuate it and allow us to open further classes in order to incorporate even more children.

Many children with language and learning disorders and/or attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity and/or intellectual precocity are poorly or undiagnosed. The school offers individualized support as close as possible to their needs.

It is eCREAdys' ambition to enable these schoolchildren to acquire academic, personal and social skills in order to avoid dropping out of school and to return to a normal school curriculum in a short time, restoring real equal opportunities for these children to succeed (law of 11 February 2005 for equal rights and opportunities).
