About the project

Thanks to Ulule and La Nostrana Company you can be part of the many godparents and godmothers who have chosen to donate to ensure care, pruning and fertilizers for a year to an apple tree !. The project adopted a tree has been in fact for about 3 years, the goal of increasing the sustainability of Ditta La Nostrana, which boasts a long history on the market, and has inherited the knowledge of the grandfather of the two young Nicola and Anselmo.

The Ditta la Nostrana, therefore, aims to relaunch the agricultural sector, which unfortunately is disappearing, using new technologies, in fact it is the main objective of the two entrepreneurs, to seek an evolution of the sector, without which it would continue its rapid disappearance.

it is also important to say that nature always returns what is given to it and with the rapid advance of the Industry Buildinga, companies like the Ditta La Nostrana, which boasts about 9 hectares of land, are small miracles for our planet, we never forget that the trees, through the chlorophyll photosynthesis, purify our air, "eating" carbon dioxide and returning clean oxygen. IT WOULD NOT BE GREAT TO KNOW THAT YOUR TREE CONTRIBUTES TO THE SUSTAINABILITY OF SO MANY BEAUTY?

The reward-based project consists in covering the annual costs of the care of an apple tree annurche (type of apple full of history), which consist of 15 euros.

In return, the godfather / godmother will receive by e-mail or Whatsupp the photo of the tree with a plaque with its own name, which will remain on the tree for a year, from the autumn leaves, until flowering and collection of this beautiful fruit. IF REQUIRED, THE PICTURES FOR DONATIONS HAPPENED BEFORE CHRISTMAS, WILL BE SENT BY 24 December.

Obviously our trees also produce beautiful fruits! In fact, it is possible to support the company by purchasing 15kg for the price of 35 euros. All shipments will be made at the end of the campaign.

the annurca apple has a history full of art, it is a type of apple that can only be produced in Campania through a long and ancient process: the fruits are picked still green from the trees and are laid on the straw to be subjected to a real tanning. To its cultivation are linked elements of the Campanian rural culture with traditions and splits of daily life that date back to before the Roman era; there are many historical artifacts that bear witness to the close link between this fruit and the place of origin and its populations.
His representation in the paintings found in the excavations of Herculaneum and in particular in the Casa dei Cervi, testifies to the ancient bond of this noble fruit with the flavors of the ancient Campana tradition.
Place of origin would be the agro puteolano, as can be seen from the "Naturalis Historia" by Pliny the Elder.
Precisely because of its origin from Pozzuoli, the site of the Underworld, Pliny calls it "Mala Orcula" because it is produced around the Orco (the Underworld). Hence the name orcola that will become anorcola and knots until it reaches 1876 when the name "Annurca" officially appears in the Arboriculture Manual.

The products of the company La Nostrana di Esposito Anselmo are grown and harvested in Pastorano (CE) municipality located outside the area identified as "Land of Fires".

About the project owner

La Nostrana was born in 2010 from an idea of ​​the two founder Anselmo and Nicola Esposito, young people aged 27 and 32, graduated in Economics. Anselmo and Nicola are both trained in university environments at the Faculty of Economics, the first most attached to their land and with clear ideas has immediately taken the reins of the family business; the second format between Brussels and Milan and after an experience in the Information Technology area of ​​a multinational company has returned to the "village" to follow his passions, devote himself to his land and change the rules of the agricultural market surrounding the company.

The history of the company can still date back several years, the entrepreneurs have inherited knowledge, experience and passion for fruit and the earth directly from their grandfather Nicola who has made agriculture their reason for living; the many summer seasons spent in the countryside at work have deeply influenced and influenced the choices of young people: "I remember when I fell asleep tired under a tree and my grandfather reproached me ......"
Today young people are faced with the demands of the market through the mechanization of work and the quality control of production. The company's mission today is to respect the high quality standards of products using ancient methods and maintaining a high respect for nature, making use only of plant protection products and fertilizers for the care of fruit and earth compatible with the conduct of the integrated phytopathological struggle tending to complete conversion to organic cultivation.
The aim of the entrepreneur is to create a new way of buying fruit through the adoption of trees: it is only in this way that you can identify with and feel the harvest that you will receive at home and I assure you that there is greater satisfaction than taking care of a tree and eating the fruits of one's hard work, everyone can become a web-farmer and if he wants, he can personally collect the fruits!
