About the project
"A parallel world" is a documentary film produced and directed entirely by my hands.
I began 7 months ago after several years of reflexion.
The documentary is about the "Sikerei", native people of an island in Asia where these Shamanes live cut off from the world, in perfect harmony with the jungle that surrounds them.
I myself have been lucky enough to live in the heart of one of these families and to follow their daily life, interviewing them and gaining their trust.
This endangered people faces the evolution of their future; the government wants to push them out of their territory and into government villages, then sell them to big exploitation palm oil companies.
Discover the incredible life of these people with big hearts, whose only wealth is their territory.
What are the funds for?
The funding will be used to pay for a second visit among these people, in order to continue my documentary and to finish it. It will also be used to rent a generator to show the advancement of my work with this family, to whom I promised I'd return.
This film will also help educate young people, and would be useful in schools and colleges.
About the project owner
A freelance photographer based in Paris, I am above all a picture freak! I need variety, truth, but especially to give, to exchange. I need to escape this life which is too false for me, and where human values have been lost.
If you still have an unanswered question, feel free to ask the project owner directly.
