About

My project is to self-publish and self-print my webmanga in black and white: The Essyane Warriors. This manga has been created a very long time ago, in 1995, and changed year after year and finally reached the final plot last year.
I was deeply inspired by The Lord of the Rings when I created this story, mainly because it was the first time I read about heroic-fantasy.
I’d like to promote my project as well during fairs and different conventions throughout France and the UK, but I will be needing funds to start realizing this dream.

What are the funds for?

First, the funds will go to the printing company. It’s about 800€ for 100 copies I’m planning to sell first on my website.
Then, the funds will help me to get to different conventions in Europe – France and the UK to start with and maybe the US… if I’m lucky enough. I asked around me and the average is 150€.
And finally, it’s going to help me pay the webmanga promotion on magazines, and it can easily go up to 1000€.

About the project owner

My pen name is Eva Niles. My real name’s Virginie. I’m 33, and I’d been working as a teacher for years, then stopped and carried on a project I’ve been working on for years: publishing my own manga.
I have several stories in my mind, but I think The Essyane Warriors is the one that reflects me the best.
For now, the manga’s for free on my website, Eva Niles Original Webmanga, and is updated every Tuesday and Friday. Most webcomics authors work this way to get readers - and ultimately fans! - before finally printing their project and sell it either online or during conventions and comics fairs.
