The Challenge

To fund a CD of 6 songs, via the internet, is the challenge undertaken by Max Cornette. Instead of travelling around the world in 80 days, his trial will be about acquiring sufficient funds in the same amount of time, and, why not travel around his region in 80 days?
For him and his touring team these 80 days will be a period of intense promotion, at a local and national level, where he will organise free concerts and other operations in order to convince the public.

The Artist
Max Cornette was born on the 23rd September 1976 in Besançon, an old Spanish town in which he acquired a keen taste for punctuality and a weakness for eccentric cheeky humour…Two decades later, Max has begun to regularly put himself forward as solo singer and guitarist in the region of Montpellier. The jamming-man soon plans to balance beatboxing, strumming it on the guitar and playing the harmonica! Keen and motivated, he spends a lot of time listening, analysing and soaking up a large number of pop music composers. Little by little, his music and lyrics came together like a fish in water; the character and its paradoxes appear at once romantic and frank.
From the first live performances of his songs, Max attracted the public’s support, and they often even sang along to his gimmicks on first hearing; the song “tout c'qui faut pour s'aimer” is a prime example. With more than 200 solo concerts on his computer, Max wandered from one end of France to the other, sharing his captivating story through the riffs of his guitar.
He recently toured with a group of friends and a manager to record one of his 6 songs. The funding will cover part of the technical costs of recording, mastering and pressing, and some of the costs to promote the CD (for canvassing and the concert production company). Oh and the most important, to send you one after you have clicked “I support”.
