Photography has been my passion for many years. As a child I would spend hours with his father in a darkroom printing photos. At school time I was photographing local music and cultural events for a music web site. Since then my photographic outlook has started to expand: new acquaintances, courses, seminars and master classes.

As a result I became a member of the Theme Photography Project Noosfera(Latvia) in 2008. The idea for this project is to get to know a multitude of photographers, their views and opinions on philosophical subjects.

I am a participant of several joint exhibitions in Latvia and Russia and also a two time participant of The International Summer School of Photography (ISSP) that takes place yearly in Ludza, Latgale (East of Latvia), during which I was attending Black and White Analog Photography workshop and Photojournalism and Print Media workshops led by photography professionals of international standing. My diligence and photographs exposed in the school have been recognized not only by the teachers and students of the school, but also by Latvian largest newspaper Diena.

Originally from Riga (Latvia), I am currently studying Press & Editorial Photography at Falmouth University College in Cornwall, United Kingdom.
