I submitted a portfolio of my work at the l’Agora Gallery, which has adopted, and I propose to exhibit.
The expo will last three weeks. Artists must pay the space rental and installation as well as entertainment expenses for advertising and promotional services provided by the gallery. The level of promotion, in magazines and on the web, is high!
(listing in magazines, advertising - press releases, marketing postcards, art-show customer - relationship - public personal subscriptions to museums and Internet ads, participation in a group exhibition opening-opening-release online on the websites of the magazine and the gallery etc ...)

Why this exhibition?
The visual arts community in New York is huge, it includes over 500 galleries of all kinds attended by professionals, collectors and enthusiasts worldwide. The competition is very strong, to break this market! I am fortunate to have been spotted by the NY Arts Magazine , is one of the most important art magazines in New York. It is my intention to participate in an exhibition at his gallery in Broadway (!!!) Brodway Gallery.
However, it is a group exhibition, and I could submit only one painting ... That's a lot of expenses for a single canvas.
So, encouraged by the invitation of NY Arts Magazine, so I tried to show in another gallery.
I heard a lot about the Agora Gallery which also offers group presentations. You can read about this gallery ... "The exhibit at Agora Gallery is a must for an artist." I submitted a portfolio at the Agora Gallery, which has adopted, and I propose to exhibit.
I can attend both expos, (Broadway and Agora) especially as the dates will not match ... So I chose the Agora Gallery, which will allow me to present at least four paintings, the costs are important, but this gallery is very popular, and I most likely of interest to other galleries.

The inspiration for my paintings:
Le thème (the origin of the message) :
The planet is in danger! Everybody agrees to say. Pollution, destruction, extermination, exploitation, waste, etc ...
"The man is a danger to humans" and this well known! And it is actually its main predator, and also the one who destroys his own environment.
Man is the only animal on earth to destroy its habitat.
It destroys the forests, the sea, insects ... The problem is he does not think that the forest and the sea provide it with oxygen it needs and that are regulators of pollution.
The Sorcerer's Apprentice is it being carried away to leave the machine.
.. The point of no return has been reached??

The message ( what are telling my paintings ) :
That man wich is a danger to himself that fascinates me ... But the images of his acts of violence or destruction are much used in photography ... I wanted to try a different approach than the simple "eyewitness." A more in the style of narrative painters of the XVth century, which transposes the sacred history in contemporary history, with exciting events of the Gospel in an atmosphere of chivalrous grandeur ... My approach is also consistent with that appeared in the 60's, "Narrative Figuration." The painters are interested in the mythologies of daily living (political, social, moral) and cover the story so singular inspiration from images conveyed by the press, cinema, advertising and comics ...
I like to explore the resources of the narrative, often via the way of fiction.
"My recent paintings combine so the tale of the destruction caused by humans."
They try to intervene, but some also leave that ensnare men seem to have stretched. The message is clear, "the fairies are in danger! ".
But the fairies are known for their supernatural powers ... that the instrument has always been the magic wand. The powers of the magic seems to have dwindled ... The fairies have replaced it with a sword.
Is this evidence that the point of no return has been achieved??
The fairies are now entered into war, and their first fight will be delivered to save the oceans.

Why have they chosen fairy sea for the first fight?
Because there are 3.5 billion years, life appeared to sea. And the man who appears just 3.5 million years, no longer remembers ...
It is clear that between the Man and the Sea, there is unfortunately an incredible story of love lost! Absolute proof is that we have less invested in ocean research since our appearance on earth, only a few years to the first steps on the moon of Gentlemen Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on Apollo 11.
I would like to give you these few lines of Joseph Conrad. 'The Mirror of the Sea "
“Le Miroir de la Mer”
Despite all that has been said of love that certain natures have - the shore - professed to feel for her, despite that it has been so often celebrated in prose as in verse, the sea has never been a friend to man ...
Impenetrable and without heart, the sea has nothing comes of itself to those who ran for his precarious favors. Different in this land, it can not be subdued at the cost of no patience and effort. Despite his fascination that has made so many men fall prey to a violent death, its immensity has never been loved as were the mountains, plains and even the desert ...

My Style :
My style has always been very narrative and realistic. If I decided recently to introduce the fairies in my paintings is to give more strength to the topics I discuss. The realism of my painting contrasts with the world of illusion in which we are used to meet the fairies. The magic, mixed with my realistic style, provides an escape from too much drama. We feel, of course, immersed in a world close to the cartoon or illustration of children's story, but the deeper meaning of what I show, however, is serious and far from the magical world of fairies.
My work in progress :
The theme of the painting on which I work at the moment is "A Little Mermaid is dead" ... Trapped in a net and stranded on the shore. Two small fairies, who tried in vain to save her, mourn at his side. The fairies are dressed in costumes of warriors. The magic does not work, the time of the fight happened.

(The painting is in progress, there is still no large pictures.)
The theme of the painting will be as follows: "Oil Spill". A little fairy, who tried to help a beautiful sea bird stuck in the viscous and black, has just left, too, into the trap. One feels that she and the bird can not escape ... It is too late.
I always found it very expressive, these images of birds, convicted prisoners of black and foul ground. I imagine, however, a painting of that. Images are more appropriate. My little fairy can "read" these images differently. My paintings we extract from the illusion of storytelling, and talks about the painting ... differently.
So, of course, all this is so against this violence, the destruction ... but I think that my paintings speak to those who contemplate, and that "word" after "word" ... do not they say that "small streams make big rivers" ...
... Your support will allow my paintings to go "talk" in New York ... and perhaps elsewhere ...
What are the funds for?
What will the funding be used?
The expo will last three weeks.
Artists must pay expenses for official advertising and promotional services provided by the gallery. The high level of promotion!
I present below the details of the various services offered.

"Always ready tostand up for whatI believe,if onlywithasimplebrush!"
You can go to visit my web site.
- In the "GALERY" you can discover some of my paintings.
- In the "BOOK" you will see my main awards in various exhibitions and fairs.
I was born in Algeria in 1953. My parents, like many "pieds noirs" of modest means have fled the country at the time of independence, I was nine. Since that time, I feel an "exile" ... That time has left me the strange impression of a huge void, but also to have some sort of magician's hat out which continually memories, images, smells, sounds ... It is this strange "contrast" that guides me constantly. It is a "tool" that help me fill this void has created exile.
This notion of "contrast" is inseparable from my work and my life itself. I can not deny the influence that was my past, and this war that I knew very young. It is therefore no coincidence that the topics I discuss in painting speak directly or indirectly from male violence. It is, of course, not easy. Flamenco and bullfighting, which was one of my themes, illustrate the work. The beauty and magnificence of the costumes are just to dress, "make up" the violence so deeply rooted in human culture.
The theme of fairy takes more ... Always with that gravity which contrasts with the "fantasy" of the subject painted.
