On my web site www.gillesalonso.com you can see the female portraits I have been taking for 4 years.
However, I haven’t yet organized an exhibition : I’ve always wanted to do things in a « big » way, which is impossible without a budget.
By « big », I mean large prints (60cmx90cm) allowing the viewer to truly enter the photograph. I also mean high quality prints : aluminum dibond, a new technology which enhances the photograph and no longer requires a glass nor a frame.
Here is a beautiful example from the V. Jolfre exhibit at the Hotel Dieu of Puy en Velay.
What are the funds for?
Obviously, all this has a cost : approximately 100 euros per print. I like the number 12 and would like to print out 12 photographs ; I therefore need 1200 euros ! For the rest, I’ll manage !
The idea would be to make it a travelling exhibition ; it will be obviously easier to find nice places if I have nice prints…
About the project owner
I am a graphic design teacher and a photographer after work… I believe my work is now ready for an exhibition.
