SYNOPSIS ( Brief summary of the story):
It's the summer holidays.
A mother is taking her teen daughters, Louise (17 years old) and Victorine (16 years old), to spend summer time in the family home.
As usual, as soon as they arrive, the two sisters are back in their rooms and in their little routine, even though this summer will be completely different from the others.
« ÇA RESTE ENTRE NOUS » ("THAT STAYS BETWEEN US") tells the story of two teenage sisters.
The Holidays is the chance for both to discover themselves individually, to find their marks and to free from their roles of sister. In the beginning, Louise is protecting and Victorine let's herself be protected. To be the youngest, it's comfortable, you watch, you follow the footsteps or not, you only take what you choose to. To be the elder, to feel you're the one who's protecting, to love like a mother would do, it's sometimes dangerous. Those assigned roles since childhood are making the two sister's relationship even more difficult at this particular time of their life. I therefore defined them by bringing early in the story this ambiguous relationship, a mix between authority and excess of love. In establishing this relationship, the strength of their respective secrets is highly deepened when the youngest sister's secret is revealed.

What is a Short Movie?
A Short Movie is a film shorter in time than the usual movies which can usually be seen in theater or on television.
Usually, a short movie is less than 30 minutes long.
What are the funds for?
The financing of the film will be done in several stages.
The first one being the money contribution via this website, as well as a request for financial help to the local authority, then a funding by technical services thanks to a sponsorship with the rentals company: camera, lenses, film stocks (Super 16 mm), lighting, machinery (for the camera movements), truck but also for production (the list is long and the needs are multiple ) ...
The estimated budget in the case of self-production is 20 000 Euros.
So, this sum is needed for the overall services to make the shooting of the film possible and to bring the images to life.
During the time of my research for financing, I'm going to try to get a production company attached in order to give the project an international scope.
To shoot a movie in film stocks is a real adventure. The number of takes are limited and require a preliminary work of great precision and quality.
It's that magic of development, lenses, camera, film stocks, color-corrections, machinery and the osmosis with all the technicians and actors on the set, who's making this kind of self-produced adventure possible.. A kind of adventure I experienced on the short movie:" La Petite Fille Sous L'Océan" which you can discover the trailer below.
Naturally, if the funding happens to exceed 10 000 euros, it would make things easier? but iI guarantee that not one cent would be for a personal use.
Once the film is finished, it's time to make the dvds, then the film festivals, the subtitling... in one word: Bring this project to life!
About the project owner
After going from the north (18 years in Picardie) to the south of France to complete a law degree, I landed in Paris in order to study audiovisual directing at E.S.R.A cinema school. During my time there, I had the chance to shoot my first short movie: « Le dernier voyage » ("The last journey"). This experience has confirmed my will to tell stories, but especially to bring them to life.
After I finished school in 2006, winner of a Défi-jeune, I directed and self-produced, in super 16 mm, my second short movie: « La Petite Fille sous l’Océan » ("The Little Girl under the Ocean"), selected in numerous film festivals.
Since then, I wrote and finalized my first feature film script "Chloé" who benefited from a writing agreement by the General Council of Côtes d‘Armor, and who has also been selected at the "Nuits blanches" during the Cannes Film Festival.
I'm actually co-writing a script for my fourth short film's project.
Regarding "ÇA RESTE ENTRE NOUS", it won the Best Script Prize at the Festival en Plein Air in Grenoble and finished semi-finalist in the CECI 's script contest.
Currently competing in several other contests, I'm waiting for the next chapter of this adventure.
