=) What is an edible 'Caketrope' or 'StroBeau Gâteau' ?
The term 'Caketrope' was invented in the film "The Caketrope of Burton's Team". The sculpture represents a cake which becomes animated when it spins around. However, unlike any of the previous caketropes, (see the three films below) the one in preparation for this project will be edible.
It will be a sort of optico-culinary cake'.
One of its features will be to "hypnotise" you, making you crave it even more... ;)
This « StroBeau Gâteau » is a BRAND NEW, UNRELEASED CONCEPT until now and will come with a very specific animation as well as being edible... : the SURPRISE of the "CHEF" !

What are the funds for?
Supports will mainly finance :
• extensive conception/development/making of the first « StroBeau Gâteau » : development of a highly specialised technique, material, equipment, conception, prototypes...
• preparation and shooting of the film and its « Making Of » that will reflect the search result of the "StroBeau gâteau" ( Renting of a profesional camera, professional lighting, etc... )
• possible renting of a screening room for the first presentation of the film in Paris.
• miscellaneous expenses : DVD, Blu Ray for the supports, postal sendings of the compensations...
• If, because of your help, the project reaches 4900 Euros : your support will allow the conception, and fabrication of the First "StroBeau Gâteau" in the World as well as the shooting of the film ( and also its "Making Of" )
• If, because of your help, the project reaches8 000 Euros : at least two "StroBeaux Gâteaux" would be developed
• If, because of your help, the project reaches10 000 Euros : a whole range of "StroBeau Gâteau" would be fabricated.
About the project owner
A graduate from the directing & animation school SupInfoCom and in tenure of a « Masters of Art », Alexandre DUBOSC has worked for a long time in parisian special effects companies such as Mac Guff Ligne. Fascinated by directing and short films, he's switched between use of photos, film, still images, animated "sculptures" & plastic creations. Just recently he staged an exhibition of photography, film and "cake sculptures" at theCENQUATRE ( Paris ), 2012.
