About
The BAYIMBA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS is an exciting three-day festival that takes place annually during the month of September in the capital of Kampala, Uganda.
It provides a platform for known and upcoming artists from Uganda, the African continent and beyond to showcase their artistic talent to an ever increasing and varied public.
Since 2008, the Festival has provided a platform to over 200 artists (70% Ugandan, 20% East African and 10% other) and saw its audiences rise to 42,000 revellers during the three-day Festival in September 2010.
The 4th edition of the Festival is scheduled to take place from 16th till 18th September, 2011 at the National Theatre, centrally located in the capital of Kampala, Uganda.

What are the funds for?
To continually present the best possible arts programming, Bayimba Cultural Foundation is seeking support from a wide range of sources.
Donations are generally directed towards providing international and national platforms for Uganda's home grown artists and productions; to presenting groundbreaking arts programming with free and easy access to all; to presenting artists and productions of the highest calibre; to fostering unique collaborations between Ugandan and international artists; to enhancing the level of professionalism to Ugandan artists; and to contributing to the arts and culture sector as a whole.
YOUR SUPPORT will support the inclusion of Uganda's finest home grown artists and productions in our 2011 Festival programming.
