THE PLOT :Simon and his younger brother Victor, when they finance their research, discover the disastrous result of an experience they hadn't yet realised...
After having received 12 awards in festivals for his self-produced short The Sick boy and the tree and created his own production society Barnum Films, Paul Jaeger launches himself into the realisation of his dream: to concretise his short about the passage of time: BACK.
The script was finished a few months ago (after numerous redrafts). The team and filming dates have been chosen (April 2011).
What are the funds for?
The funding will contribute towards paying the artists and technitions -not including the project owners).

Since the birth of this adventure, we would like to be able to pay our collaborators for their work on the project.
We are surrounded by talented technicians and artists, and it is fundamental that we enable them to work in healthy conditions.
Unfortunately, genre film projecrs (sci-fi, fantasy, thriller...) are given little support by institutions in France. We therefore need to find funding through organisations like Ulule to make our project happen, in conditions acceptable for all.

Barnum Films is an official film production society, so you can benefit from tax exemption.
About the project owner
Barnum Films comes as much from a desire as a profound need: to defend genre cinema.
It's in this sense that the Barnum Films production society was created in June 2010 in Bordeaux, with our pioneering project BACK, and the hope of opening a platform for other cineasts in the same process.
Paul Jaeger, director of The sick boy and the tree, is associated with Killian Querré and Yacine Saadi, co-authors of Back. Together, they have gathered together a strong team of people who are also determined to defend this different idea of cinema.
